Introductory GROWSAFE® and Agrichemical Approved Handler Certificate Renewal Service
Together with the NZ Agrichemical Education Trust, FarmSafe has developed an online option to renew your Introductory GROWSAFE® and Agrichemical Approved Handler Certificates
You can only renew your current GROWSAFE certificate if it is less than 1 year from the expiry date. If your expiry date exceeds the 1 year period, please call 0800 545 747.
If you have already registered online and created an account, please Logon to go directly to the start of the renewal process, using the user name and password that has been emailed to you.
If you have not yet registered please review the following Steps that our renewal process takes and when you are ready, simply click on Begin Renewal Process at the bottom of this section and you can begin.
HOW DOES OUR ONLINE RENEWAL PROCESS WORK?
FarmSafe's online renewal service is designed for holders of both GROWSAFE® and Agrichemical Approved Handler Certificates who are seeking to renew these certificates online with a single discounted fee.
Our online renewal service will outline relevant changes since your certificates were last issued and after paying the fee, following the steps and answering questions relating to the changes, you will be able to complete the renewal process.
THE EASY STEPS TO RENEWING YOUR GROWSAFE® AND AGRICHEMICAL APPROVED HANDLER CERTIFICATES ONLINE:
Step One : Registration and Application
First you need to register your details - this will enable you to have a unique logon that you will require to proceed with the renewal process. Once you have registered, your logon and password will be immediately emailed to you.
Please note, you will require your current GROWSAFE® and Agrichemical Approved Handler Certificate numbers. If you have misplaced your certificate/s and you are an existing FarmSafe client, you can call FarmSafe on 0800 545747 to request this information.
Step Two : Pay the Renewal Fee
The online renewal fee is $250 (GST inclusive). Using your logon and password, you can securely pay online using your credit card. As soon as payment is received you can begin the online renewal service. Farmlands and Ravensdown clients may choose to charge this renewal fee to their respective account.
Step Three : Choose which Certificate you wish to renew first
This choice will be available to you when you logon with your user name and password.
Step Four : Review the Resources Online for each certificate
Your logon will give you access to downloadable resources. You will be provided with information about the relevant changes that have occurred to workplace practice and legislation since your previous certificates were issued.
Step Five : Complete the Assessment for each certificate
After you have studied the resources there will be a short multichoice assessment which you can complete and submit online. Your unique logon details allow you to have 3 attempts at the assessment over 28 days. You are required to achieve an 80% pass rate.
Step Six :
After successful completion of both assessments you are required to forward copies of both certificates and a recent spray diary entry . These can be faxed to 06 324 0728
What happens next?
If you are ready to go ahead and begin our simple six step process to renew your GROWSAFE® and Agrichemical Approved Handler Certificates, make sure you have the following requirements on hand, then click on the 'Begin Renewal Process' button below. Have on hand:
- Your GROWSAFE® Certificate number
- Your Agrichemical Approved Handler Certificate number
- A copy of your spray diary
